i thought i was over caring about the michigan womyn’s music festival – a “women-born-women”-only festival on the basis of some arbitrary essentialist standard. but today i found out that a “michfest” blog posted a list of trans women who, despite the vitriol, discrimination and hatred they face at such an event, are brave enough to attend or have attended. they list includes photos, names – legal names, birth names, stage names – places where the woman might be found. aside from making public personal information and outing these women against their will, it’s a call to harass and intimidate a group of women who are already a target for violence in america.

naturally, the blogger who posted this list identifies herself as a feminist. which begs the question: what kind of feminism advocates the targeting of women for harassment and violence?

obviously i was fucking pissed off at having to interrupt work on my new game to have to worry about the safety of fellow transwomen at the hands of self-identified “radical feminists.” so i took a four hour break to make this game about defending the land from trans wolves in womyn’s clothing. (it took four hours because i made it in stencyl.) it’s a FIND THE HIDDEN OBJECT game. the hidden object is a penis. (there’s no violence or slurs in the game, if you have a hard time dealing with that stuff. but this is a game about transmisogyny, and we should all have a hard time dealing with that stuff.)

The game is really hard, you guys! I haven’t found the penis yet, but I AM STILL TRYING, BY JOVE!

I am now envisioning a Rogue Penis stalking the countryside, sort of like a self-propelled cannon using balls as wheels. It’s terrifying. Wait…
