Have you been thinking about exploring some new edges in your writing?
Are there longings you’d like to find language for?
Now’s the time! This fall, join one of our two AWA-method sexuality/sensuality
writing workshops — you may very well surprise yourself with the depth and
power of your writing!
need your help… I am organizing a benefit concert Saturday
September 20th at El Rio in San Francisco (3-8pm) and I need your
help. The benefit is to raise money for both cancer research and for
my brother’s family. Two weeks ago I found out that my brother had
been diagnosed with a rare strain of cancer. There are only 44
documented cases of the type of cancer he has been diagnosed with and
Josh is the youngest. He is only 36 years old.
Moby Dick! The Musical
Sept 18 to Oct 12
Wednesdays through Sundays
The runaway cult hit makes its San Francisco debut, starring the
incomparable Matthew Martin and his camp cohort Mike Finn. See what happens
when a drag headmistress and her cross-dressed minions put on a musical of
Moby Dick to save their beleaguered girls’ school.
Recently, 2,000 anti-gay pastors met to plan their attack on gay folks and marriage equality, and they claim to have over 100,000 volunteers to support their efforts to end marriage equality. We have to stand up and fight this homophobia together.
The need is urgent and the time is now. There are three ways to help:
- Go to the NO on 8 Kick Off Party in SF this Saturday.
- Become a volunteer for a phone bank. (Info below).
- Donate to the campaign
To mark the public launch of the No on 8 campaign, Equality for All is planning a huge Kick-Off Party, where they’ll also hold their first state-wide phone bank.
When: THIS Saturday, September 9 from 10am to 2pm
Where: No on 8 Headquarters at 2278 Market Street, near the intersection of Market and Noe and next door to Cafe Flore.
